Nice handy bench, ideal for light DIY in the shed. Easy to put together and sturdy. The one fault I would highlight is the use of plywood for shelf and storage area, no mention of plywood in the description and the shelf was cut too small, it had to be glued in to stop it from falling out.

I received this SIP Workbench from MTS yesterday and have just finished assembling it today. First impressions on unpacking were good as far as design and materials is concerned. The assembly instruction booklet has several errors and the illustrations are very often too small to be of real help. Some of the pre-drilled hole patterns are not accurate. Nevertheless after having made a few assembly errors and a lot of patience and thought the assembly was done in about 90 minutes. All in all I think this workbench is worth the price.

Workbench has been great. The garage is not exactly ‘warm’ this time of year and yet its being used a lot.
Two design issues with it, first, the drawer is of little use as it just gets filled with sawdust from the dog holes that go down into it. Secondly, the 4 wooden pegs for holding your project in place are made from a piece of wood with a hole in one end which has a dowel half-stuck into it. Were this instead made from a single piece of wood, you wouldn’t be in danger of pulling the peg up and leaving the dowel behind (as happened to me). Design issue 2.5, the dowel/peg should not have to be hammered into the holes!
I’m not sure if the idea is to give you your first smattering of easy-to-fix projects, but if so, it’s just perfect!
    I’m enjoying it immensely.
